F-secure SSH

F-secure SSH is used to connect to Unix/Linux servers. Command line only, if you need to display windows/graphics, use Xwin32.

Where
This software is installed on all student PCs. You may also use an older version of this software on your own PC following this description (look in the diverse directory).

How to start
Command line: start → programs → F-secure SSH client → F-secure SSH client
File transfer: start → programs → F-secure SSH client → F-secure SSH file transfer
When the window opens, click on “quick connect” and fill in host and user name. Click on “connect” and then enter your password.

Alternatives
Free alternatives are e.g. putty, filezilla, and winscp.
