Grey Cat Linux 3.0 Documentation

What is GCL 3.0 / History

GCL 3 is a small linux distro based on basiclinux 1.x and slackware 3.5. It is small because it does not come with a lot of software, only basic apps are included. Development started 1.5 years ago, with a slightly modified basiclinux distro, called gcl 1.0. Today GCL 1.9 is the latest floppy version. GCL has 3 major versions, 1, 2 and 3. 1 is a floppy version. 2 a umsdos console version and 3 is a version with a GUI. This is the first public release of GCL 3.0
