15 - 16 May 2001 NTNU Trondheim
The Nordic Symposium on Petrophysics is an annual event, sponsored by the Nordic Energy Research Programme. It brings together not only scientists from the five Nordic states, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, but also petrophysicists from several other countries. Over the years to date, the symposium has created a strong foundation for the exchange of ideas and cooperative research between countries and institutes of the participants. This Sixth Nordic Symposium will build further on that.

This year's symposium will be held in Trondheim at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU. Trondheim was the capital of Norway, with more than a thousand years of rich history and still is a thriving city. NTNU, with almost 20000 students, an enormous research power and strong links with many other research institutes is indeed the technological centre of Norway.
