Work Processes, Team Work and Collaborative Technologies

Key components: Methods, tools, solutions and knowledge to improve work processes, decision-making processes and for managing organizational changes across the value chain. Improving HSE by targeting research within areas identified as safety and environmental challenges of IO. Raised competence of current and future IO actors by providing courses, seminars and university programs.

Future Collaboration Environments

Objectives

  • Identify and formulate principles for successful IO implementation, focusing on operation, maintenance, and production optimization. The principles will be formulated as generalizable recommendations for:
How to improve decision-making capabilities in co-located and distributed teams, by developing and testing training/coaching formats and new information and visualization design solutions.
  • How to use evaluation as a tool for optimizing design and delivery of IO training for virtual teams, by developing and testing a method for evaluating effects of training.
  • Successfully implementing Condition Based Operation and Maintenance, using an integrated MTO approach (Cooperation with projects 3.1 and 3.2.)

Work Prosesses and Decision making

Objectives
The purpose of the project is to develop actionable knowledge on how organizational factors impact on the successful implementation of Integrated Operations, with a focus on operations, maintenance, and production optimization. Examples of organizational factors include: leadership, organizational structure, organizational culture, roles and responsibilities, teamwork, KPIs, or training. The project will provide recommendations for design, delivery and evaluation of training of virtual teams. In addition, the project will provide actionable recommendations regarding how organizational factors impact on the ability to utilize and successfully implement condition monitoring solutions.

Another purpose of the project is to develop and test new work surfaces for improved support of interdisciplinary teamwork.
