Objective(s)
The main objective of this project is to investigate methodologies to make full use of the potential of wired drillpipe.

Methods for full utilization of increased bandwidth from the borehole will be developed within:

1. Drilling optimization: Methods will be investigated and reported on how to use WDP to drill faster and with less downtime.
2. Well control: Methods will be investigated and reported to make use of WDP for improved well control.
3. Geological model: Methods will be investigated and reported to make use of WDP for quality control formation logging data.
4. New: Synergy in Cross Discipline Technology Applications Subsurface will investigate how the use of WDP can give us a better picture of the subsurface for use in drilling, well placement and production.
   
   

Activities

• Transfer of Data fro StatoilHydro (including WDP data). Finished
• Pre-analysis of WDP data – convert to IDS database. 50% finished
• Expand IDS for WDP data.
• New: Start Cross Discipline Pre-Project. Report at end of year.
• New: Cross Discipline Project
